Everything is Precious

According to the Mayan Calendar (2012), the Ancient Mayan predicted that 21st December 2012 would mark the end of the world. Even though it did not happen, it turn up to be a reminder for all of us that the world we all think is eternity will not last forever.

We are just too rich since the day we were born, rich with the love of our parents, rich with the air we breathe and rich with everything we own. We tend to take everything for granted and we never expect that everything we own will be gone unconsciously without our notice. Everything has an expiry date and nothing in this world can last forever. We should always appreciate everything we have before it is too late.

The movie “2012” reminds us that, life is short. Learn to appreciate what you have before it became the things you once had.

“2012” is not only a movie, but a reminder for everyone to appreciate the Earth before it is too late.

“2012” is a disaster film about the end of the world. The characters in the movie tried their best and did everything they could to survive from the catastrophe. Throughout their journey of escaping, they showed us everything is fragile including our life. It can be gone easily within a second. Human is just so vulnerable when confronted with the power of nature. We have no control over the things that is going to happen, if it is meant to be, it will be.

Have you ever thought that these disasters in the movie might happen to us in real life one day?

The world that humans have been living for decades is getting sick nowadays. Environmental issues such as global warming become the hot issue of the society. A lot of slogans about protecting the environment are spreading everywhere. However, at the same time, trees are continue being cut down wantonly, forests are being wiped out and being replace with houses and factories. All these selfish actions come from the greediness of human beings. We tend to call tsunami, volcano eruption and other disasters as natural disaster, but never forget we are the one who cause them to happen.

What goes around comes back around. We have to pay for what we did. We destroy our Mother Nature, thus it destroy us. In the movie, doomsday occurred. The volcanoes erupted; the grounds cracked; the storms swallowed everything on the sea. The whole world was destroyed in a split second. People watched their loved one failed to escape from the disaster and died in front of them. Only at that moment, they regret for everything they have done but there was no use crying over spilled milk.

Appreciate your loved one before it is too late.

Since young, family and friends is our best companion. Have you ever imagined what if you lose them in a blink of eye? If you do not even have the chance to say the last goodbye with them, that will be the most painful thing ever. In the movie, Jackson tried very hard to save his family from the disaster. He got injured and bled profusely but he never gave up. Although he might ended up losing his life, he knew that the safety of his loved one worth all the pain.

Be blessed if you have someone you wish to spend your last day with. How lucky you are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. Same as the natural environment we own, we tend to forget the importance of them and appreciate their presence. We are showered by the love of our family and friends since young. We always thought that we have a lifetime to spend our time together but we do not know when will be the last goodbye.

Life is a one time offer. You will never know when your last day is. Start living your life from the moment you read this post. Appreciate everything around you, family, friends, job and of course the beauty of the nature because everything is precious.
